This is where I share my insights, my tips, my guidance, tools and strategies, knowledge and experience through the written word - the ups, the downs, the positive, the negative, the in-betweens, as I continue through this time of change on my life journey and ... where I reflect on the life experiences that I have had so far, how they have shaped me, what they have taught me and hopefully what they can teach you as well. It's kinda based on my view of the world, my insights on all things nutrition, fitness, lifestyle, mind-set, health, wellness, business and personal life related and how they relate to you as a woman in her 40s, 50s and beyond or ... as someone who is just wanting to make a little bit more sense of their life, and the world in which we live and ... is working out their place in it as well as in their own life.
We can all learn from each other and I too have many others from whom I learn, through reading their blogs, books and articles, and being welcomed into a little part of their world. It helps to know that we are not alone and, what we might be experiencing now, someone else may have already experienced so is therefore able to provide words of wisdom, tools, advice and guidance that can help us better manage whatever the particular experience may be. It also enables us to grow and develop as individuals, and as part of the wider community within which we live, it can widen our knowledge, increase our skills, expand our experience and we, in turn, can reach out and help others to do the same.

Sometimes, I like to write about things that I’ve perhaps been experiencing recently and how I managed to work through them (and continue to do so), in the hope that by doing so I can, in some way, shape or form, help you as well. I’m sharing this with you because, maybe by me sharing this, some of you may also be able to ‘let go’ of something that’s not serving your needs anymore.
So many of us are focused about what we look like on the outside and how we perceive others see and judge us that we forget to actual be thankful for how amazing our bodies actually are. A personal viewpoint of the frustration of distractions!
This blog is about trying to escape the 'Dieting Mentality' and to find out what works for you that will work for you throughout your life - did you know that one of the major causes of obesity is dieting? By constantly being on/off diets and jumping on the latest quick fix you are actually slowing your metabolism down and it can take years, yes years, to recover - that's why you see people who lose a lot of weight tending to put it back on plus more - fat and weight loss isn't just about calories in and out and the amount of exercise you do, it's about the type of exercise, the type of foods and drinks you're consuming and when and it's also about sleep, about movement, about hormones and rest and relaxation.
In this blog I share a bit of my personal story regarding the fat loss journey, I talk about the type of exercise you could be doing for this and I touch a bit on the nutrition side as well!! Plus some tips for what you could be doing straight away to achieve fat loss.
